About Myrtle Beach Speedway
Conveniently located on 501 near Tanger Factory Outlet Stores, the Myrtle Beach Speedway is a racetrack for the NASCAR Welen All-American Series. The track has been thrilling fans since it opened in 1958 as the Rambi Raceway. It is family-friendly and fast-paced fun that all ages will enjoy. The Myrtle Beach Speedway is an oval shaped track that is .538 miles with arena seating for fans to cheer on their favorite car. Over the years the track has been a training ground for NASCAR legends like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon. All four Pettys and three generations of the Earnhardt family have “taken a green flag” on the track.
On Saturday nights from April through November the speedway will get your blood pumping as cars fly around the track at the NASCAR Welen All-American Series races. At one time they hosted the NASCAR Busch Series; they now have other classes of racing like Late Model Charger, Super Trucks, and Mini Stocks throughout the year in addition to the NASCAR Series races. Do you have a need for speed? Try the NASCAR Racing Experience, where you get to drive or be a passenger in a real NASCAR race car as it whips around the track. The NASCAR Experience is open almost daily through the spring and summer months.
On Wednesday nights feel the ground shake at the Wheels of Destruction Thrill Show featuring free-style motocross,car jumping, crashes, explosions and more! The track also hosts music concerts, comedy tours, and other events throughout the year.
The Myrtle Beach Speedway office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm for advance tickets or 10:00 am until 9:00 pm the day of the show. The venue has handicap accessible seating, parking around the track is available for $5.00, and most shows are family-friendly.
