Theatre of the Republic
Located on Main Street in historic downtown Conway, this community theater has been putting on some of Broadway’s best plays and musicals for numerous years. The 2015 season includes Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning “Rent,” 50’s rock & roll-based “Smokey Joe’s Cafe,” and the gripping Vaudeville-Burlesque drama “Gypsy.”

This professional community theater troupe has set up shop at The Market Common, brining to the stage something for everyone – comedies, dramas, and modern adaptations of classic works of theater. The highlight of the 2015 season is “Elvis Has Left The Building,” a riotous dramatic comedy involving the disappearance of “The King,” and his agent’s urgent need to find a suitable impersonator for an upcoming show.

Located at the Myrtle Beach Mall, this theater is a collection of professional resident artists dedicated to enhancing the Grand Strand’s cultural scene with quality theatrical performances. Past shows have included works by revered writers both past and present, including Tennessee Williams, Charles Dickens, David Sedaris, Neil Simon, and Yasmina Reza.
