Myrtle Beach Classic is a new addition to the PGA Tour. Dunes Golf and Beach Club will host athletes, sports journalists, and avid golf fans during the week of May 9–12, 2024 for this official FedEx Cup event and a bonus match. Beach Ball Classic at Myrtle Beach Convention Center

The most talented high school basketball teams from across the country prove their mettle in the Beach Ball Classic. Kobe Bryant, Rasheed Wallace, and other NBA legends previously competed in this renowned Myrtle Beach basketball tournament. The Beach Ball Classic is held in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center at the end of December, making it a holiday must for fans of the hoop.

Coastal Carolina University Athletics

Just a short drive inland from the beach are the sporting arenas of the Chanticleers, a rising force in the ranks of Division I college athletics. On Saturdays in the fall, the football team suits up for battle and seldom leaves the field without a ‘W’, compiling a 24-5 record over the last two seasons and reaching the national quarterfinals in the NCAA FCS tournament both times.
