Overview
Dance Clubs
Lots of visitors come to Myrtle Beach to party, and an integral ingredient for any festive weekend involves putting on your dancing shoes and getting out on the dance floor. And because people of all ages want to get in on the action, the Myrtle Beach nightlife and dance club scene has all manner of different spots where revelers can go to cut it up to generation-appropriate music with people in their own age group. Or not! Like the beach, the doors of the best party spots in town are open to everyone from recent high school grads to newly retired couples looking for a loud night out.
Karma Teen Club
It’s good to be a teen at this Ocean Boulevard nighttime hot spot. Not only does Karma have one of the best views of the beach, there’s 5,000 square-feet of dancefloor, 2 VIP areas for birthdays or other special nights out on the town, numerous high-def video screens and walls, and countless other 13-19 year-olds dancing the night away. And for concerned parents, not to worry — Karma is safe and 100% drug and alcohol-free.
More InfoSenor Frogs
This raucous Broadway at the Beach venue is popular among college students, spring breakers, and many of the area’s young revelers. Senor Frogs is known for its loud music and playful staff, as well as yard-long frozen and flavored margaritas, and shots randomly coming out of water guns. Local tip – get there a little early to avoid standing in line all night.
More InfoDuck's Beach Club
Since the 1950s and 60s the “Shag” — the official state dance of South Carolina — has been a popular pastime for beachgoers and visitors looking for a good time. These days there are less places where shag culture and Carolina Beach music remain popular, but Duck’s is one of the few great nightlife spots keeping this beachy tradition alive. Definitely, a must-see spot if you want the “real” Myrtle Beach nightlife experience.
More InfoFat Harold's Beach Club
Directly across the street from Duck’s is another famous beach club, Fat Harold’s. Named for one of the forefathers of the shag scene, Fat Harold’s is the heart-and-soul of this vibrant culture of fun-loving dancers and music lovers. This is the perfect place to dance the night away, grab a few drinks, listen to a great live band or DJ and still feel young at heart!
More InfoPirate's Cove
Among the many storied clubs along Main Street in North Myrtle Beach is a place with just as much history, yet a slightly different feel.
Occupying a spot that’s been a staple of the North Myrtle Beach landscape for more than 75 years — housing clubs such as Pour House, The Cavalier Club and The Back Alley Lounge — Pirate’s Cove Lounge opened in 1995 and has been making noise ever since.
