About Pine Lakes
Pine Lakes Country Club, Myrtle Beach’s first golf course, was built in 1927 and recently renovated to a new level of excellence for golf along the Grand Strand. The Granddaddy, as it is known by longtime Myrtle Beach golfers, provides an experience like no other, featuring starters clad in authentic Scottish kilts pampering players on the course with a refreshing mimosa or a cup of original Lowcountry clam chowder simmered in a black kettle over an open fire. Designed by Robert White, the first President of the PGA of America, the golf course at Pine Lakes Country Club was renovated and redesigned by Craig Schreiner in 2009, who did his best to bring back all of the classic features designed over a half century ago. The new design changes and renovations have aided in the success of the Granddaddy, making it one of the best golf courses on the Grand Strand once again. If you’re a golfer planning on visiting the Myrtle Beach area, then playing the Granddaddy at Pine Lakes Country Club is a must.
