About Handley’s Pub and Grub
This family-owned English pub was one of the first neighborhood bars in the booming Carolina Forest community and it has developed a loyal, local following, especially among sports fans and golfers.
With 28 TVs as well as billiards, darts and video games, it’s a great place to both watch sports and get in on the action.
Handley’s Food
Handley’s may be better known as a pub than for its grub but not because of a lack of food options.
The menu goes well beyond the usual bar lineup but covers all the basics – wings, nachos, onion rings and Drew-skins, potato skins that are extra loaded. Salads, sandwiches, wraps and sliders, made of beef, chicken or pork, are popular picks.
Handley’s specializes in traditional UK favorites – Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash, and Shepherd’s Pie, and more American classics like steaks, chicken and meat loaf.
The most impressive menu may be the broad selection of draft beers from around the world, 68 to be exact. Handley’s also serves popular domestics and rare imports in bottles and a full line of cocktails.
Handley’s Atmosphere
Handley’s manages to capture the essence of an English pub in a modern setting and attracts a crowd that is looking for a good time as much as a good meal.
The bar area can get noisy during particularly big games but the dining area and outdoor patio deck offer sanctuary. Of course, it’s a lot more fun to join the crowd.
