About Wild Wing Plantation – Avocet Course
Wild Wing Golf, just outside of Myrtle Beach in Conway, was designed as a signature golf course by the architectural team of Jeff Brauer and Larry Nelson. This public golf course near Myrtle Beach features a unique 27-hole layout—the 18-hole Avocet course and 9-hole Hummingbird course—giving golfers the option of playing 9, 18, or even 27 holes. The Avocet course features creative contouring, elevated tees and greens, double fairways, grass bunkers, and even a double green serving two holes. The Avocet was recognized by Golf Digest as a ‘1994 Top 10 Best New Courses in America’ as well as being consistently rated in ‘Places to Play’ as a 4-Star award winner. The Hummingbird has garnered similar accolades over the years, making Wild Wing Golf a premier place to play for golfers of any skill level.
