1987 Struttin’ on the Strand
I had the pleasure of staying as guest of the Bech Cove while directing a fund raising a show for the Waccamaw Women’s shelter. Even after 23 years, the Beach Cove Resort as well as North Myrtle Beach remains as one of the highlights of my directing experiences. It’s changed a bit since then from what I read, but I’m sure the ambience, friendliness of the staff and the many facilities have the same warm, welcoming feeling now as they did then. I remember Jim from Chasers where I would go for an after rehearsal night cap as well as walking the gorgeous beach when I felt my brain was going to explode. I stayed in an absolutely gorgeous 1 bedroom suite on the 16th floor overlooking the beach and the pool and pool amenities below. Being early February (plus it being a working trip) I didn’t experience the poolside amenities. I know this review is a blast from the past, but couldn’t resist writing it. Thanks in no small part to everyone who made sure I was well taken care of, the show was a success. The Beach Cove Resort will forever hold it’s position of one of the top three 5 ***** star experiences I enjoyed as my career as a theatrical director. I hope to come down again now that I’m retired and enjoy it again from a different perspective. Thanks once more to all of you!

Enjoyed our stay
We have stayed there 2 times. We got a 2 bedroom condo both times. Always very clean, kitchen set up complete. The pools, hot tubs, and pool areas were clean, and well attended to. There was also indoor options for pool, hot tub, and game room. It was located well on the beach, and very easy location to the surrounding area activities. We would also like to try others if we come again, just because of more water park type activities.
