The Best @ Myrtle Beach
CLINTON We had a great time @ Ocean reef back in March 2017 when we lost our Baby Boy "DaeDae" on March 20th 2017 to a disease called ALD.....He had went in to UNC for a Bone Marrow Transplant in which the donor backed out 2 days before his Transplant....The School he attended sent Us to Ocean reef resort following his Death....We had the best time even though a piece of Us was missing!!!! #4EVER #DABBIN'

My summer vacation
I have stayed at the Ocean Reef everytime that I have gone to the beach. The service was great. It is convenient to the beach and different attractions. The front desk is always courteous and friendly. They have four bedrooms and we took family members and stayed in the four bedroom and we had a ball. The Ocean Reef is safe and we can even walk to the different places like the shopping area on Kings Highway. Love the Ocean Reef Resort. Will be there in May 2019.

My husband arranged a getaway birthday trip for my birthday. We stayed at the Ocean Reef Myrtle Beach. What a wonderful time we had while there! The staff was helpful, the resort gorgeous! Clean, quiet, just beautiful. On the morning of my birthday my husband told me he would return to our room shortly. In a few minutes he called me to tell me to look off of our balcony. He had written "Happy Birthday Debbie!" I love you! How wonderful! We celebrated for the rest of the day. The staff made me feel special to! Several times since we have tried to arrange a stay with you and were disappointed to find you were full. No wonder, you have a great place to stay. But we will try again! Had A Wonderful Birthday Stay!
This past year I was able to take my entire family to Myrtle Beach. We had a wonderful time. My three grandsons were especially excited to be able to join their "Grama & Pop" at the beach. We have had this tradition since my own two boys were little. We have stayed all along the strand at Myrtle in different places. We especially enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Reef. We hope to be able to spend more getaways together. We love to go during their spring breaks and their summer breaks before school starts back. Thank you for making our times together special. If we had any questions they were more than happy to answer them. Our room was perfect...very clean and comfortable. Any thing we needed was taken care of. We enjoyed our breakfast daily downstairs. Nothing like a great stay at Myrtle Beach
Our hotel was amazing as usual. I would expect nothing less. I love that they have the air on for you when you come in so your not walking into a hot room waiting for it to cool down. My husband says that's the first thing I say every time we check into a room. The location is perfect to avoid sitting in traffic forever to get in and out of your parking lot. I am going to sit long enough on 17. The tv, amenities are up to date. The thing I love the most about this hotel is I have never seen a bug. This one and one other hotel are the only two I will stay at in this price range. Hotels below this price range I would avoid. You get what you pay for and this hotel is a bargain for everything it offers.

Best family vacation spot
Been coming here since 1990 with my then “boyfriend” now my loving husband. The hotel staff is attentive. Stavaros at papaguyos is the best!!! The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The grounds are well kept. The kids love the pools, lazy river and the game room. My brother in law even got engaged here! It’s my happy place. Put me in a hair facing the dunes and that’s where you’ll always find me. The breakfasts are delicious and the beach burgers are a must. We love you Ocean Reef! Every year we come back!!!

Great vacation

Amazing Stay!
My fiance and I loved our oceanfront room on the 15th floor. The sounds of the waters were as soothing as the bed was comfortable. We witnessed dolphins playing by day and jellyfish lighting the ocean by night. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating. One of my favorite places to stay in Myrtle Beach. The best breakfast buffet on the Strand and all familiar faces. I can't say enough about this place except to keep it a secret. It has great personnel, great rooms and atmosphere and the breakfast is hard to beat. The homemade omelets are worth the trip. Good parking and great water activities for the kids and great small local bar for the adults to have a beverage before heading out. What more can I say except that i forgot the great pool bar with food, yum and the game room!!! This is a gem people, you can't beat this place.

Love the experience each time we come down.
Have stayed here several times over the years. Use their golf package, and have been very pleased with the comfort of the ocean front room, the cost of our stay, the very pleasant breakfast room each day, and the open cooperation of their golf department. We come down in November when the traffic is easy, and the crowds at the restaurants are tolerable to say the least. Will be coming down again this November as well, and are looking for it big time!

One fine place
From Sylva North Carolina what a great place to spend a few days. We fully enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Reef Resort in North Myrtle. Myrtle Beach.com is so great. It keeps us up to date on anything new we want to see or do when we come to visit. We come every Sept for 3 weeks and we've been coming since 1981 when our oldest daughter was 3. Now we have grandchildren and love to have them down here when we come as often as they can. We had an absolutely wonderful relaxing stay at the Ocean Reef Resort. This beach front property has some thing for every member of the family. Kids loved the water park and slide as well as the lazy river. The rest of the family enjoyed the hot tub as well as the pool. Not to mention the ocean which we all enjoyed. The property has a wonderful buffet breakfast which is included in the price of the room if you book directly with the property otherwise the breakfast is $9.99. In the evening you can rent a movie which is included in the room rate or you can head over to the game room which has Giant checkers, ping pong, and assorted video games. We will be back!!! My husband and I stay at the Ocean Reef every year in September. This year, we had two visits - one in May and one in September. We love the proximity to the Tanger Outlets, grocery stores, and restaurants. We always start our day with the fabulous breakfast bar. The friendly staff is always polite and helpful. We spend our days lounging by the pool, playing a friendly game of ping pong in the arcade area, and enjoying the beach. We end our day with a relaxing sit in the jacuzzi. We have stayed at many hotels near the downtown area, but we prefer the quiet of the Ocean Reef. The Ocean Reef has so many amenities that make it the perfect place for families! We enjoy it so much we are planning an extended family trip next fall! Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

A Perfect Vacation

This is a great hotel to stay for your visit. Always very friendly, very clean with updates in the kitchen and baths, and don't miss trying the breakfast buffet. Great food and the friendliest waitstaff I've ever encountered in MB!

Best Hotel
The staff are friendly and accommodating. We always stay at the Ocean Reef and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. We love the pools, the Café Du Port and all the amenities!! They also have lots of activities for the kids. Ocean Reef is also in the perfect location in MB and have referred friends to the Ocean Reef and they now won't stay anywhere else! They make you feel so welcome!

First family vacation and a great time at the beach
We loved staying at Ocean Reef, Myrtle Beach is beyond great! We could have honestly stayed anywhere and been happy. We have only been able to make the trip once due to finances but it was amazing! We would love to be able to take our children again, now that our daughter is old enough ro remember a lot of the experience.

Fabulous Family Vacation

A Wonderful Family Tradition
We LOVE Myrtle Beach and our family has been vacationing at Myrtle Beach every year since 1978! We always stay at the Ocean Reef. We love the area there and the hotel is fantastic. It is always sparking clean and you couldn't find a nicer staff. Some of the staff is the same people we got to know in the 70's! It's like coming "home" again each year when we arrive. The South Carolina breeze can be felt nonstop there and it is a very family friendly area. There are so many places to go and restaurants to try within just a mile or two. We have recommended Myrtle Beach and the Ocean Reef to friends and now they want to return year after year as well. We already have our reservations for this August and can't wait! We absolutely can't miss our MB vacation! Even when traveling to Disneyworld 3 years ago we were able to fit our MB vacation in by staying at MB for 3 days on our way to Florida and then for 4 days on our way back (we live in PA). It worked perfectly and made the trip SO much more enjoyable! My 8year old grandson loves to travel but won't give up our MB trip for anywhere else and neither will we!

Awesome beach trip!
Very clean, nice hotel with friendly staff. The pool areas are awesome. The only drawback is that the hotel is so big, when you go out onto the beach, there are people EVERYWHERE. We carried our stuff a little further down just to have some extra space.

Fun Times!!!
We had a wonderful stay with no problems. Great Stay
This was my second year staying at the Ocean Reef Resort. In my opinion it's the best place to stay at Myrtle Beach. You are close to all the top attractions, the staff gies out of their way to help you, and the place is kept extremely clean. I recommend the Queen Ocean Parlor rooms when you visit.

Always a great time
Have stayed at The Ocean Reef for the last 2 summers. I am coming back in July for another week. Traveling with a larger group this time, so we booked a 4 BR condo. There is plenty to do for all. Very kid friendly. Can't beat the location. The resort is close to many restaurants and attractions. I Have stayed at other places in Myrtle and this is by far my favorite place. Have read some negative reviews, but other than our room not being ready when we arrived last summer (well after check in time) I don't have any complaints. Can't wait till July!

Both ladies were very Professional and had great customer service skills. I was grateful as to the care and concern that these ladies expressed in order to make my stay great. Recently refurbished to higher standards, this is the only place we found with three- and four-bedroom condos for a sizable family. The rooms are refurbished on a cycle so you might want to ask for a recently done one.

First time staying here and loved it! We got an absolutely amazing deal on a 3 bedroom condo which was almost too good to believe! Convenient to just about everything. Really could hardly ask for more. No free breakfast was a bummer, and the pool slide was closed our entire time there. Those were just about the only downsides. The free DVD rentals are a nice touch. Our stay also came with extras like a free laser tag game for one adult, free Rockin' Jump 30 min. pass for one, free all day go cart pass for one, etc. I think that was only for a limited time though.Not sure if we just came at the absolutely perfect time or what, but if we could have the same experience we would most definitely choose Ocean Reef again every single time we visit MB!

Birthday Trip
My husband and I decided to come here for my birthday, and it was both of our First time there. It was mid-September so it wasn't too crowded, but enough people to not be bored. Next time I will get a rent a car and probably just go out to eat for dinner, but make my own lunch and breakfast in the hotel.

Kid friendly fun!
The Ocean Reef hotel was great! We had a balcony room overlooking the beach and my 2 year old loved playing in pools at the hotel and enjoyed learning the boogie board on the private beach area! We also loved Broadway at the Beach and the Ripley's aquarium! We can't wait to come back.
