About Holiday Sand Castle Tournament

Get creative in the sand at the inaugural Holiday Sand Castle Tournament in Myrtle Beach.

Building begins at noon Dec. 12 behind the Plyler Park Stage on the beach.

The event includes the sand castle competition along with music, activities, and the sights and sounds of the iconic Myrtle Beach Boardwalk! Entry is free, and registration is required.

Participants will have 3 hours to create their masterpiece, and you can use festive decorations to embellish your creation. Sculptures must be made with sand and water only (no glues, sugar, paint, etc.), and all decorations must be gathered from the beach after the competition.
