Christmas lights, tree lightings and parades welcome the holiday season into the Myrtle Beach area!

Great Christmas Light Show
The North Myrtle Beach Christmas lights are a huge draw for locals and visitors looking for holiday cheer. The Great Christmas Light Show is a drive-through light display set to music at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. On select nights throughout the season, visitors can also stop by Santa’s Workshop for a petting zoo, snacks, and more.

Nights of a Thousand Candles
1931 Brookgreen Drive, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576
Nights of a Thousand Candles is a beloved annual event at Brookgreen Gardens south of Myrtle Beach. Millions of Christmas lights and hand-lit candles illuminate the live oaks and fountains throughout the gardens, and visitors can stroll through for an immersive Christmas experience through the garden paths.
Winter Wonderland Festival and Lights Display
The Winter Wonderland Festival in Myrtle Beach includes a mile-long Christmas light display along the oceanfront Myrtle Beach Boardwalk along with kids’ activities, live entertainment, and more. The lights will be on display nightly Nov 29-Jan 4, and events will be happening each week during that span.

Your favorite Myrtle Beach theaters are decked out in their holiday best for their annual Christmas shows. If you’re looking for some holiday cheer, look no further than these amazing and festive shows. From The Carolina Opry’s long-running “Christmas Show of the South” and Alabama Theatre’s “South’s Grandest Christmas Show” to the holiday motown show at GTS Theatre and the tribute artists spreading holiday cheer at Legends in Concert, there is truly a Christmas show at the beach for every taste.

Broadway at the Beach Tree Lighting
Broadway at the Beach, a massive shopping and dining complex in Myrtle Beach, kicks off the holiday season with their annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Nov. 16. The festive event includes live entertainment and a fireworks show!

Lighting of the Landing
Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach hosts its annual Lighting of the Landing on Nov. 23. The event includes the lighting of the Barefoot Landing Christmas tree along with live entertainment capped off by a fireworks show.

Market Common Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Market Common’s annual Tree Lighting Celebration will be Nov. 23 and includes live entertainment, a kiddie train ride, carnival games and inflatables, and pictures with Santa.

Town of Surfside Beach Christmas Tree Lighting Festival
Residents and visitors are invited to the Town of Surfside Beach for the most joyful event of the season: The Christmas Tree Lighting Festival!
The festival runs from 4 to 8 p.m. on Dec 5 and includes vendors, entertainment, and children’s activities as well as the lighting of the Surfside Beach Christmas tree.
Murrells Inlet Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
Join your friends in Murrells Inlet to kick off the holiday season with the annual Murrells Inlet Christmas Tree Lighting at Morse Park Landing next to Hot Fish Club.
The tree lighting festivities will include visitors from Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as Christmas crafts, hot chocolate, and cookies.
The event is 4-6 p.m. Dec. 7.

Christmas Parades Around Myrtle Beach
A Very Broadway Christmas Parade
Get into the holiday spirit with A Very Broadway Christmas Parade on Dec. 7 at Broadway at the Beach. The parade includes stilt walkers, marching bands, and more!

North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade
Enjoy a special nighttime parade in North Myrtle Beach to usher in the holidays. The parade, which includes prizes for the best floats, rolls down Main Street starting at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7.

Holiday Golf Cart Parade at Barefoot Landing
Barefoot Landing hosts a holiday golf cart parade at 3 p.m. Dec. 8.
Walking groups and golf cart owners are invited to join the parade, which will start by Greg Norman Australian Grille. Prizes will be awarded to the most festive groups.

Town of Surfside Beach Christmas Parade
The annual Surfside Beach Christmas Parade is slated for 2 p.m. Dec. 14. The parade includes area marching bands and floats from groups across the area.

Murrells Inlet Christmas Parade
Family, friends, locals and visitors are invited to the annual community Christmas Parade in Murrells Inlet from 3 to 5Â p.m. Dec. 8.
The parade begins at Wilcox Avenue and continues to Wachesaw Road along Highway 17 Business.
