About Salute from the Shore
Head down to the beach for Salute from the Shore this Independence Day!
Vintage Military Aircraft and active aircraft will fly over area beaches in the Carolinas starting at 1 p.m. Beachgoers along the Grand Strand will have a perfect vantage point to see the show on the coast.
Starting at 1 p.m. in Cherry Grove/North Myrtle Beach, F-16s from McEntire Joint National Guard Base and a C-17 from Charleston Air Force Base will soar down the coastline toward the Beaufort/Bluffton area. Following the military aircraft will be a civilian-owned and flown group of vintage planes called Warbirds. This group may include T-34s, T-6s, and T-28s, with the possibility of others depending on weather conditions. Be aware that the time between planes could vary up to 45 minutes, as the vintage aircraft have different speeds.
Show your support for America’s Armed Forces! Bring your flags and other festive 4th of July gear and wave them on.
