About Inlet Crab House
Jimmy and Kim Mayes are Murrell’s Inlet locals that opened this homey, island-style restuarant in 1992 after Jimmy had Captained boats all over the Atlantic and Gulf. Jimmy and Kim take pride in being the only Captainowned restaurant in Murrell’s Inlet. They serve an assortment of lunch and dinner dishes like sandwiches, platters, a seafood bar, and steaks. Inlet Crab House is open Monday through Friday from 11:30 am until they decide it’s time to close and they open at 3:00 pm on Sundays.
Inlet Crab House Food
Settle in to their simple but appetizing menu showcasing Southern Coastal cuisine. Start with an appetizer of crab pizza dip, oysters Rockefeller, potato skins, stuffed jalapenos, calamari, Inlet soft shell crab among other apps. Try a garden salad, homemade crab salad, shrimp and pasta salad, or one of the seafood chowders. For lunch they have baskets of fried shrimp, oysters, fish or chicken tenders with slaw and your choice of fries, potato salad, vegetable or red rice. Try a pork, shrimp cake, BLT, ribeye or chicken sandwich or a Captain Burger with sides. For dinner they have fried seafood or chicken baskets, pasta, steaks, and seafood platters. Enjoy the raw or steamed shrimp, oysters, clams, and crab-legs served by the half dozen, dozen or pound at the Seafood Bar. Inlet Crab House has a child’s menu and a homemade key-lime tart or fried cheesecake wrap for dessert.
Inlet Crab House Atmosphere
Inlet Crab House is easy to find off of Business 17 in the restaurant row area of Murrell’s Inlet. It is a quaint pink and turquoise house with with palm trees, an outdoor deck, rustic bar and plenty of indoor non-smoking seating. Guests are surrounded by nautical sundries like ropes, pulleys, bells and brass tacks. During the summer season the Inlet Crab House has live music on the outdoor deck.
