Visit the Beach
This one almost goes without saying. Most people who visit Cherry Grove come here for the beautiful sandy beach. Grab a snack from the Cherry Grove Pier and set up camp along the shoreline. If you come when the tide is low enough, you can even head down to the point of Cherry Grove and walk across the Waterway to Waites Island, a private, natural island owned by Coastal Carolina University for marine science research.
Cherry Grove Pier
Perhaps one of the most popular attractions in Cherry Grove is the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier, and for great reason. This pier is a popular fishing spot as well as a wonderful place to get scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the coastline. The pier is home to the Driftwood Restaurant as well as a fully equipped tackle shop complete with equipment rentals, supplies, bait, and more. Plus, the pier also has an official weigh station. Guests can opt for daily as well as season passes to the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier.
If you’re looking to stay close to the pier then you can’t beat the Prince Resort. It’s attached to the pier, putting it right in your backyard during your stay.

Of course, many people opt to fish from the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier, but some people love to get out on the water to try to reel in a fish or two.
