About WonderWorks Myrtle Beach
WonderWorks Myrtle Beach museum is a unique attraction with 100+ hands-on exhibits, displays and thrill rides for kids and adults. The exterior of this upside-down house is one of the most recognizable, wacky places in town and it only hints at the fun you’ll find inside. Located at Broadway at the Beach, WonderWorks science-focused indoor amusement park combines education and entertainment throughout its 41,000-square-foot space. This attraction is only minutes from excellent kid-friendly hotels, so it’s not just a cool place to visit, it’s convenient, too.
Museum Exhibits
Since opening in April 2011, this attraction has set itself apart from traditional science museums in Myrtle Beach, thanks to its adventurous exhibits and entertainment for kids, adults, and kids at heart. Feel the power of hurricane-force winds in the Hurricane Shack. Make huge, life-sized bubbles in the Bubble Lab. Get the NASA treatment in our astronaut training gyroscope and experience zero gravity, which you might wish for while lying on the death-defying Bed of Nails.
Housed inside the impressive upside-down WonderWorks building are more than 100 exhibits designed to challenge the minds of your entire family. The park is divided into these six zones:
- Extreme Weather
- Physical Challenges
- Space Discovery
- Art Gallery
- Light & Sound
- Imagination Lab
Other adventures at WonderWorks include an indoor ropes course, a laser tag arena, and a 6D simulator ride, plus the Wonder Coaster, an adrenaline-filled virtual rollercoaster ride. If you’ve made it through the indoor exhibits and you’re ready for more fun, get tickets for Soar + Explore, a three-story zipline and ropes course.
Attraction Admission, Hours & Rules
WonderWorks offers a variety of ticket packages and bundled experiences; admission for the indoor exhibits starts at $26.99 for children and seniors, and $33.99 for adults (tax not included); children aged four and under get into the ‘upside-down house’ free. Admission isn’t timed, so you can spend as long as you’d like exploring WonderWorks, though most people recommend allotting at least three or four hours to go through the entire building; if you’re here in the off-season, your ticket is good for the entire day, so you can check out other kid-friendly activities nearby and return later for more fun.
With the ceiling at your feet and the ground above your head, WonderWorks will flip your family upside-down!

Wonderworks
Amazing place. My 7 year old was scared at first due to the loud noise as you enter but he quickly got involved in looking at something.
